I want to buy a car (2002ish) from a used car lot of Craigslist for about 7k.
The problem is only the big dealerships offer the easy financing, and Craigslist and the smaller lots yield mostly to cash customers.

How could I finance a car from one of these? What’s a “lending institution” or something? It seems impossible!!

A specific service/website would be appreciated.

I think most car dealerships can finance anyone as long as you can show a pay stub. Is this true? Can you have defaulted student loans and tax liens and still be financed for a car?
