How do I write the finance section of a report?

Mundane asked:

I have a group assignment report to do. The body of this assignment is divided into five sections i.e. feasibility study of the overall industry, economics (analysis of the current market), logistics and supply of the organisation, marketing operation, and lastly the financial support.

My responsibility in this report is to write out the finance section of the report. My question is… how do I start writing out the finance section of the report? My main responsibility and task is to state the current financial health of the company and, assuming there are two projects undertaken, and how this finance is going to support them, and also some sort of analysis on the finance of the company.

How do I start off writing this finance section of the report and how do I conclude?

It is hard to read finance, so I would recommend that you include charts and tables. You can show the comparative income on a spreadsheet. Begin with a short statement about what you are showing – much like you did in your question, then use tables to explain the numbers. Conclude very simply, by stating that “after project a and b are completed the company will still be healthy, showing #### in profits”.
