Can I move to a finance domain from software domain without any financial degree or certificate?
abhi_84 asked:
I have software development & project coordination experience (total of more than 4yrs) in embedded systems.
In the finance domain, I look forward to Market Trading, Credit Derivatives, Investment Banking & Hedge Funds. What steps should I take to make this transition? Can I do project coordination in finance domain too?

If you own a degree - or any alternative qualification - then you’ll already be ahead of the crowd when it comes to searching for professions. My buddy has a degree and he wasn’t certain what direction to go with it, but he stumbled upon some good tips on the resource in the resource box below which aided him to decide that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is loads of assistance on the resource regarding alternative professions.

Sure, lots of examples in quantitative finance industry. The most direct and easiest way is to be a quantitative finance developer first, then move to quant position as you grasp more finance knowledge. Check the quant developer job list for detail.
