They are only asking $40,000. The house sits on 4.6 acres so can you finance the land and just have the house as a bonus. What are some finance options I could try?

I am thinking about buying a property about 50k when the house market is still low. But I only have around 20k cash. I don’t want to use it all because most likely property around 50k will need some repair. So, investment wise, what is the best finance strategy I should use for this purchase?
Thanks.

I bought 20 acres 3 years ago for $80,000 in an owner finance situation. I currently owe $50000. I have sold my dad 10 of the acres. I would like to build on my half of the land. I need to find out how to get a loan, split the land and finance a house. Any ideas?

There are many real estate development companies that skipped that growing phase and just went straight for the big things (Especially in South Florida). How did they finance it and succeeded?

We have placed a caveat on the title, but they are taliking about taking the house to mortgagee auction in the hope of getting more money than we have agreed to pay. Is there any legal action I can take aginst the finance company? No point sueing the vendor he’s gone bankrupt and is leaving New Zealand.
